Oak Essenze

This unique beer is brewed and then aged 20 days in steal tanks and 8 to 12 months in 500 liters and 220 liters first passage oak barrels. It takes months and skills to slowly and partially oxidize this precious liquid, when I’m fully happy with the result I blend 2 barrels of different aging and bottle.

Oak Essenze has nearly no gas, it’s almost flat with no foam and could remind of a Madeira, Rhum or Italian Barolo Chinato. It ages at least 6 more months in bottle before being released. This fine ale is meant to be aged for years to come so buy 2 bottles and forget one in your canteen.

On the nose ripe stone fruits, raisins, chocolate, light peatiness, madeira notes, sherry notes and delicate floral hoppiness. On the palate caramel, toffee, chocolate, ripe stone fruits, raisins, sherry and warming alcohol notes.

To be paired with a cigar, fine dark chocolate or a nice book.
